Brooke and Kendall were married in the fall of 2007 at the beautiful Wind Clan Farm in Juliette, Ga, a farm that was once owned by members of the Allman Brothers Band. Brooke and Kendall’s wedding was characterized with mason jars, floral filled with fallen twigs and berries, recycled paper with natural tones, a canoe bar, pralines, and delicous southern dishes. This was a rustic, natural, historic and enchanting affair, one that we were honored to be a part of. Thanks Terrell Clark for these lovely images!

Give your guests an authentic Southern experience by having a praline station on your wedding day. Our staff makes the pralines on-site in an antique, copper cauldron; allowing you and your guests to indulge in a delicious treat. To leave a lasting impression, you can add a personalized sticker to the praline bags. Your guests will be thinking about you the whole way home while they munch on these tasty delights!

With a high of 100 degrees in Athens, GA tomorrow, I thought it only fitting to post some wedding pictures that will keep you cool. Kelly & Wright were married on a cold November evening last year. The wedding ceremony was held at the Darlington Chapel in Rome, GA and reception at the home of the groom. Kelly and Wright were going for a glamorous, old Hollywood look accented with warm lighting and fresh white floral. Suspended crystal globes, crystal chandeliers, flickering candles, vintage gold mirrors, elegant white china, a gourmet candy station, an iced cocktail bar and an iced seafood station are just a few of the fabulous details from Kelly and Wright’s wedding. Thanks to Our Labor of Love for capturing this timeless wedding.

What a delight it was when Mary Beth came through our doors! She greeted me with a huge grin, with all the energy that only a new bride has. Mary Beth and her groom, Michael, chose Ashford Manor in Watkinsville, Georgia as the spot for both the ceremony and outdoor tented reception. Ashford Manor, a Victorian Bed and Breakfast is surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens accompanied with wrought iron details, the exposed brick and all of the blooming floral create a beautiful backdrop. The bride wanted a color scheme of deep persimmons, crisp whites and accents of chartreuse greens. Gardenia Floral Design carried out this palette in the girls’ bouquets. Photographer Jason Thrasher did a wonderful job capturing this colorful wedding!
The ceremony took place in the sunken bamboo garden. We created the alter by hanging kissing balls of white daises, green button mums and spheres of twigs from a rusty iron pediment. The aisle was lined with petals of persimmon and white roses.
It rained briefly after ceremony so guests were making a run for the tent. I love this moment that was captured by Jason Thrasher!
Lighting was an easy way to create a “garden” feel to this reception. We incorporated several different types of lanterns on the guest tables as well as on the buffets in combination with roses, kangaroo paws, hydrangeas, daisies and fresh moss.
Mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were served to honor the groom’s brother, who started a local charity called “Athens PBJs”.
As a favor for guest, Mary Beth had personalized koozies made, (with persimmon thread of course) with the UGA Arch. Go Dawgs!
After dancing the night away, Mary Beth & Michael exited in a sea of bubbles!
A big thanks to Jason Thrasher for all of these beautiful photos.
