In light of last week’s post of themed weddings and parties gone wrong, I feel it is only appropriate to feature one of my absolute favorite parties, The Gardens of the World Ball hosted by the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Steam Baskets of Scallion Pancakes & Spring Rolls

The Entrée

In celebration of St. Patrick’s day I have decided to feature one of my favorite stations, the Tiddly Bar, its two main ingredients are ice cream and alcohol, sometimes it has the added bonus of a maraschino cherry. What’s not to love?

We set up the station on one of our hi-bars, with the blenders and ice cream behind it. You can select how many different Tiddlies you’d like to offer your guests. They are then made to order or passed, served in a martini glass, giving guests a little taste of Heaven.

A few of our favorite concoctions are…

~ The Original Tiddly ~
Coffee Ice Cream, Brandy & Crème de Coco

~ Grasshopper ~
Green Crème de Menthe, Vanilla Ice Cream & Milk

~ One Irelands ~
Bailey’s Irish Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream & Milk

We'll even wear kilts!

Bonus tip: you can make these at home tonight!

This is my own personal take on TLC’s “What Not to Wear”, with a little mix of CMT’s “My Big Redneck Wedding”. Wow, I hope y’all can handle this post, and I promise I will go back to a more traditional blog post. (Please note, this is all in good fun.)

This is why we recommend bottles over kegs...

This wedding took place at the Redneck Olympics.

More Beer Please

In case you can't see, there is a bride there.

Here comes the baby, oops I mean the bride

I'm honestly impressed by this one.

This is apparently modeled after the video game Zelda, I was hoping it was Peter Pan...

All jokes aside, we do enjoy a good themed party or wedding and have a huge warehouse full of props to make it happen. We have king and queen thrones, full knights of armor, Mardi Gras and beach themed props and tons more! We loving having fun and throwing parties, so let us know how we can help you!

We cannot thank everyone enough for their support of Ashley and Allison while preparing for Athens’ Dancing with the Stars for Project Safe! They won the Judges’ Choice Award AND Audience Favorite, the first time in Dancing with the Stars’ history!

In case you missed their award winning dancing check it out here. To see that we’re telling the truth about their phenomenal win, click here. To see all their hard work and practice, click here.

Proudly and collectively, the 2011 Dancing with the Stars team raised $92,100 as of Sunday night. But wait, they are trying to reach $100,000 by Friday! All of the participants are asking everyone who voted to see if they can find a friend to MATCH their donation.

We appreciate the support and are very grateful for all of our friends, family, the Classic Center, Dance FX, Center Stage Catering, Wingate Downs and Project Safe!

UPDATE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, WE HAVE CANCELED THIS EVENT! WE HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE ON SUNDAY AT 6:00 FOR THE SHOW! THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Project Safe’s Dancing with the Stars competition is this weekend! Wow, we can’t wait to see Ashley with his dancing shoes, and from his practice videos and mid-afternoon dance sessions in the office, he’s going to blow Athens away! Earlier this week he was tied for 4th place in number of votes, so please keep those coming!

We have an added bonus for this weekend, we are hosting the Homewood Hills Breezeway Olympics this Saturday from 2-5 pm! It’ll be an awesome afternoon of competition between the restaurants and bars in Homewood Hills. Bowling, pinball, pool, darts, and cornhole are part of an Olympic style competition to help raise money for Project Safe. Get a group of four (or find one there) and enter to win prizes while helping stop domestic abuse. $10 per person to enter. Win cash and prizes!

Repost and invite your friends and we hope to see you on both Saturday and the actual performance Sunday at the Classic Center.

If you can’t make it, please go to Project Safe to donate and vote for Team 9!

Every vote has a direct impact on someone’s life…

2 Nights at a Motel under an Assumed Name… $130
Groceries, Toiletries, Clothes, Transportation.. $90
Providing shelter for a family in danger when our shelter is full… Priceless

(Over the last two years, Project Safe‘s emergency shelter has maintained a 101% occupancy rate. Votes in honor of Dancing with Athens Stars participants will help ensure that they aren’t forced to say “Sorry, we’re full” to someone in immediate danger.)

Thanks for all you support of Project Safe!
